  On the wsy to KOA. Stopped in for dinner.
  Wow this is a great place. The ribs are fantastic. They outshined the tri-tip which i usually prefer. Don't miss this place.

  Picturesque, nostalgic and rural charm are all terms that come to mind as you pull into the parking lot at Obie’s. It is early on a Sunday afternoon and the bar/dining area is populated by a handful of people watching the early football games on TV. The interior is typical with motorcycle memorabilia on the walls and high top tables and Obie behind the bar. The place is clean and bright and the faint smell of smoke lingers in the air. The place is very clean and it may be a contender for the cleanest and nicest men’s room I have ever seen.
  
  I ordered pulled pork with mac & cheese and baked beans it also comes with a side of Texas toast. The meat comes without sauce and they offer 3 sauces at the table – Honey – Spicy –Smoky. Isn’t that the 3 bears?
  
  The pork is tender, moist and smoky. I sometimes find that BBQ joints have fancy names for their sauces that in no way resemble the flavor. Such is not the case here they all stay true to their names and as you might expect the honey is perfect with the pulled pork. The mac & cheese is a top shelf cheddary creamy bowl of comfort love. The baked beans for those of you are familiar with my opinion of baked beans as to not liking many of them. I think these may have been the best I can remember having in a long time.
  
  If you don’t like the bar atmosphere Obie’s has a 50’s themed retro dining room separate from the bar area. However I believe you would be comfortable anywhere you choose to sit.

  I absolutely love this place, the food the atmosphere the owner and so on. Do I recommend this joint? Without a doubt!
